Betoto was created in the early 2000s, and soon became the no1 online gaming platform in Greece surpassing large players such as bwin and Ladbrokes. In 2005, it was acquired by Bwin making it then the largest and most successful exit in Greece for a startup. It has taken over 15 years for this sale to be surpassed by startups such as Scroutz, Viva Wallet and Instashop
