Dynamic presence of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Copenhagen
During the event, several meetings were held to promote the Region as a top travel destination for all seasons
As part of the tourism promotion activities of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in foreign countries, the Greek Tourism Workshop was organized on March 21, at Hotel Scandic Falkoner in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace as the honored region. The event was organized by Tourism Media Events (TME) with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Greek Embassy in Copenhagen.
At the Greek Tourism Workshop, Mr. Giorgos Panagopoulos and Ms. Patty Konstantinidou presented to the attendees the charming and special characteristics of the Region, while from the Embassy of Greece in Copenhagen, Mr. Takis Papafilipopoulos was present at the event, who addressed and related greeting.
Ms. Patty Konstantinidou took over the official presentation of PAMTH, while during the B2B meetings it was pointed out that Denmark is a market that shows an increasing trend every year in terms of tourist flows to Greece (430,000 people visited the country in 2023). At the same time, in the context of the talks, it was mentioned that the Danes are constantly looking for new destinations and are experience travelers with an alternative profile.
The said B2B meetings are a strategic part of the tourism promotion program of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, based on the “Embrace Full of Greece” advertising campaign. The main issue is highlighting the advantages of the area and integrating it into the programs of tourism professionals and travelers.
